Drainage has many types. The most common of them is tubular and plastic appearance. To arrange drainage around the house with your own hands is better according to the annular scheme, which represents a closed circuit.
The general principle is simple. You dig a water collection trench, add a drain that takes the collected water, and treatment facilities here, as a rule, are not provided for.
You will need sand, gravel and pipes, material for the construction of viewing wells, a tool for digging the earth and wood, for strengthening the walls of the trench.
Just a trench is not a drainage yet. A sand pillow needs to be poured on its bottom, then a layer of gravel, and it is a drainage pipe. The pipe should also be filled with gravel and a layer of witching or large sand.
To prevent the sowing between sand and gravel, pave the geotextile layer. All layers should take half the height of a dug trench, pour the rest with a loam and blacksime. This is a description of tubular drainage. In order for the water to leave, when digging the trench and laying pipes, withstand a slope of 3 degrees, that is, a decrease of 3 centimeters per meter of the length of the drainage itself.
What depth will be drainage depends on the level of groundwater.
Viewing wells are needed to serve the system and monitor the process. They are placed at a distance of no more than 50 meters from each other in a straight line, and from turning to the well there should be no more than 20 meters. Wells have a round or rectangular shape. Most often, viewing wells are made of reinforced concrete rings. If the drainage is not more than three meters deep, the well can be made from a large plastic pipe.
Draining pipes take polyethylene or asbestos-cement diameter 50-80 millimeters.
Now that you know how to make drainage around the house with your own hands think about safety precautions. Protect the walls of the trench from the crowning with boaching shields, spacers of bars, plates and logs. After laying pipes and filling with sand, dismantle them.
